About the Farm
Background
Established in 1870, this farm has been operated by six generations of the same family on the banks of the Connecticut River in Piermont, New Hampshire. In 2008, the farm transitioned from selling milk to a large cooperative to bottling raw milk and selling it directly to consumers. Over the years, the farm diversified its offerings to include farmstead cheese and a variety of meats.
Practices
The farm's cattle graze on lush grass from spring to fall and are fed protein-rich hay during the winter. The farm uses no pesticides or herbicides and adheres to the HGAL standard—humanely raised, growth hormone-free, all-natural, and locally grown. Pigs are raised in a hoop house with deep bedding and fresh air, while poultry are raised in movable structures on pasture. Cheese is made from GMO-free raw milk, aged on ash planks, and processed without preservatives or dyes.
The Rest
The farm's store offers raw milk, signature raw milk cheeses, locally raised beef, pork, pastured chicken, fresh eggs, and maple syrup. The farm maintains high standards of sanitation and animal care to ensure health and quality in all products.
