About the Farm
Background
Gaia Gardens is owned by the East Lake Commons Co-housing community and is currently leased to Love is Love Farm. The farm spans 5 acres and includes hillsides, forest fragments, and a spring-fed pond.
Practices
The farm dedicates 1.5 acres to growing space, utilizing a patchwork of fields for crop rotations and an intensive cover cropping schedule. Orcharding areas feature blueberries, figs, and muscadine grapes.
The Rest
Produce is sold through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, at the East Atlanta Village Farmers' Market on Thursday afternoons, and to restaurants in Decatur and Atlanta.
