Armstrong Apples Orchard & Winery
About
The orchard, located between Fond du Lac and Plymouth, began 25 years ago with two apple varieties: honeycrisp and jonagold. Over the years, the orchard expanded to 11 varieties, continually replacing less popular types with those superior in flavor and market demand. The business officially opened in 2001, initially selling at farmer's markets before establishing a farm store. The orchard was planted with the help of friends, family, and neighbors, and has since become a local hub for fresh fruit and other products.
The orchard employs eco-techniques to control apple pests and diseases, prioritizing methods that are healthier and safer for the environment. This approach reflects a commitment to producing high-quality fruit while maintaining ecological balance.
Visitors can enjoy farm tours, wine tastings, a picnic area, and a playscape for kids. The farm also offers cooking demos by appointment, gourmet farm dinners, paint and wine classes, and music events on specific Sundays. Additional products available include honey, maple syrup, fudge, cheese, and caramel apples. The farm store is open Friday through Sunday from 12-5 pm.
